The selection trials of the Punjab teams participating in the first Hockey India Masters Cup (Men and Women) 2025 will be held at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium on June 3.

The Masters Cup will be organised by Hockey India in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, from June 18 to June 27.

Giving information in this regard, Hockey Punjab president Nitin Kohli and general secretary Amrik Singh Powar said that this is the first time that the tournament is being organised by Hockey India.

They said that in the men’s category, players above 40 years of age (born before 1-1-1985) can participate, while in the women’s category, players above 35 years of age (born before 1-1-1991) can participate.

The office-bearers also mentioned that during the trials, players should bring their updated Aadhaar card, as without Aadhaar card, they will not be allowed to participate in the selection trials.

Apart from this, only those players can participate in the selection trials, who have the complete sports kit. In case they do not have the complete kit, the player will not be allowed to participate in the trials.

A coaching camp will also be organised for the selected teams. The president and general secretary further added that only those players can participate in this tournament who are registered with Hockey India.
