Talwara, April 30
A woman’s purse was found lying on the road by the police near Kaul Garments located in the main market on Wednesday. The purse was containing notes of 1,000 and 500 pre-demonetisation worth Rs 36,500.
Police station in-charge, Talwara, Bhushan Sekhari, said he was informed over phone by Joginder Pal Shinda, vice-president of Nagar Panchayat Talwara, that a lady purse was lying on the road near the shop of Kaul Garments located in the main market of the town.
He informed that some old currency notes of 1,000 and 500 denominations were also scattered near the said purse along with a cardboard box lying near it. — OC
