Rajni brings glory to nation with multiple medals at World Police, Fire Games

In a proud moment for Punjab and the nation, Rajni, serving in the Punjab Police, has made history by winning multiple medals at the World Police and Fire Games held in Birmingham, USA. She was specially honoured by Jai Krishan Singh Rouri, Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha and MLA from Garhshankar, for her remarkable achievements.

Rajni clinched gold medals in the 100m hurdles, 400m relay, 800m flat and 100m relay, along with a silver medal in the 400m hurdles and bronze medals in the 100m and 400m flat events, showcasing exceptional skill and determination on the international stage. Her performance has brought immense pride to the country while reflecting the spirit of service.

Speaking at the felicitation ceremony, Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Rouri expressed that Rajni’s achievements are not only a matter of pride for her family but have also brought honour to the Garhshankar constituency and the entire state of Punjab. “It is heartening to see a daughter of Punjab setting an example of dedication and excellence while serving the nation. Rajni’s success will inspire other daughters and youth to stay away from drugs, focus on sports, and bring glory to their families, state, and the country,” Rouri stated.

He further assured that the Punjab Government stands firmly with its sportspersons and will continue to support and encourage them at every step. “Athletes like Rajni, who are proving their capabilities through sports, are the pride of Punjab. The government will always stand shoulder to shoulder with all sportspersons, ensuring they get the opportunities and support needed to excel further and shine at the global level,” he added.

Rajni’s remarkable achievements at the World Police and Fire Games are expected to inspire many young athletes in Punjab to pursue excellence in sports, reminding them that with hard work, discipline, and focus, they too can bring laurels to the nation while serving society with dedication.
