Istri Jagriti Manch leader Anita Sandhu said women have a huge contribution in the struggle to demand the withdrawal of three farm laws and also in lending steadfast support to those fighting for justice. She said along with the women in Punjab conducting their daily household duties, a large number of the elderly as well as young women were also sitting on dharna at the Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur borders. While quoting US jurist Ruth Ginsberg, she said ‘women belong in all places where decisions are being made’, adding that during the farmer agitation, women in state have also asserted their role in the decision-making process and have repeated history on the lines of other historic agitations recent and older where women have played a pivotal role along with men.
