Chairman of the Improvement Trust Hoshiarpur, Gurvinder Singh Pabla, said many allottees and transferees in various trust schemes have yet to fully pay the sale price of their plots, complete construction or pay the non-construction fee on time.
In light of this, the Local Government Department of Punjab has introduced a One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme to ease the process for the public. This scheme allows allottees and transferees to clear 50 per cent of the total outstanding amount, including the sale price balance and non-construction fee, as per government guidelines.
Pabla said senior citizen women would be given special consideration under this scheme. He said they may get their map approved and receive construction permissions by depositing only 25 per cent of the outstanding amount, provided they do so by December 31.
