Resume bus routes shut during lockdown, MLA tells minister

MLA Dr Ishank Kumar has raised the issue of Punjab Roadways bus routes in Chabbewal constituency in Vidhan Sabha during the Budget session. He was assured by Transport Minister Laljit Bhullar that the issue would be examined and routes resumed shortly.

Taking up the matter of bus routes getting revoked at the time of Covid lockdown, the MLA urged the minister to review the said routes to provide better transport facility to residents of his constituency, especially the rural population. He said the existing routes should be increased as per the enhanced volume

of passengers.

MLA Dr Ishank Kumar pointed out that various government bus routes were shut down during Covid, which should be reviewed and restarted as soon as possible.
