Jalandhar, August 9

Rup Lal Atwal (65), a retired government employee from Jalandhar, has won a lottery of Rs 1.5 crore. He said he had brought a state lottery ticket by spending Rs 200, but, he could never imagine that he would win it.

“When I read the results in a newspaper, I couldn’t believe my eyes,” he said, while talking to mediapersons.

Asha, wife of Roop Lal, said she danced the moment she got to know that they had won it.

“My husband had a dream. He always told me that he would earn so much so that he could marry off girls whose parents could not afford their daughters’ marriage. Now, he will fulfil his dream,” she said.
