Robbers take away Hyundai Creta car at gunpoint from couple in Jalandhar city
Jalandhar, April 18
Unidentified armed robbers snatched a Hyundai Creta from a couple near Johal market in Model Town area late Monday night. As per the cops, the robbers took away the car (PB08ED 5400) after its owner stepped out to buy something from a shop in Johal Market.
They said the engine of the car was on and his wife was seated inside but pointing a pistol at her, they threatened the woman to not to make noise and took away the car. They said after covering 3-4 km, the woman was thrown out.
The police have registered a case under section 379-B of the IPC and under various sections of the Arms Act has been registered against unknown persons. They said they were scrutinising CCTV footage to get clues in the case.
