The fourth day of the 19th All-India Balwant Singh Kapur Under-19 Boys’ Hockey Tournament witnessed rousing

In the first match of the tournament on Wednesday, Ghumman Heera Riser Hockey Academy, Delhi, defeated SAI NCOE, Imphal, 2-1. Misbah Khan and Vikas scored goals for the winning team, while Sonu Patel scored a goal for Imphal team.

Pankaj Sharma of the Imphal team was adjudged the ‘man of the match’.

In the second match, Boys Hostel, Lucknow, defeated Hockey Himachal Academy 3-0. Prince, Shivank, Yogesh Kumar scored a goal each for the winning team.

Atif Raini of Boys Hostel, Lucknow, was named the ‘man of the match’.

In the third match, Round Glass Hockey Academy, Mohali, defeated SGPC Hockey Academy, Amritsar, 1-0. Utkarsh, who scored a goal for the winning team, was chosen the ‘man of the match’.

In the fourth match, Naval Tata Hockey Academy, Jamshedpur, defeated Namdhari Sports Academy 2-1.

Patras and Tintus scored a goal each for the winning team, with Tintus being named the ‘man of the match’. Rohit Singh scored a goal for Namdhari Sports Academy.

Shilpi Jaitli of DAV Institute; Baljit Singh Dhillon, an Olympian; Hardeep Singh Grewal, another Olympian; Baldev Singh, a Dronacharya awardee; Senior Olympian Rajinder Singh; Ashfaq Ullah Khan; and Parminder Kaur were the chief guests at the event.

Matches to be played on December 11:

  • SAI NCOE (Sonepat) vs Jarkhar Hockey Academy (Ludhiana)
  • Odisha Naval Tata High Performance Centre vs Shahabad Hockey Academy
  • SAIL Hockey Academy (Roorkela) vs Surjeet Hockey Academy (Jalandhar)
  • SAI NCOE (Lucknow) vs Army Boys Sports Company (Bangalore)
