Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Raudi today inaugurated the first phase of a Rs 5.65 crore water supply project under the AMRUT 2 scheme in Garhshankar.
The launch event took place in Ward No. 7, where a 19-km-long pipeline network was formally unveiled. This network will serve several wards across the city, ensuring clean and continuous drinking water for thousands of residents and strengthening the area’s infrastructure.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Speaker Raudi said, “This is an important step towards our promise of providing clean water and better living facilities to every household. Under AMRUT 2, such developmental projects are being given priority so that urban places like Garhshankar can be developed in a good manner.”
The project is part of a broader effort to upgrade civic amenities in urban areas through the provision of essential infrastructure, such as water supply and sanitation.
