Rs 9 crore to be spent on construction of stadiums in Chabbewal: MLA
In the coming days, the Punjab Government will construct ultra-modern sports stadiums in 29 villages of the Assembly constituency at a cost of more than Rs 9 crore. The state government has released the amount to be spent on this project.
Giving this information, Chabbewal Assembly constituency MLA Dr Ishank Kumar said new stadiums to be built would be model sports facilities. All facilities would be available for players in these stadiums. All stadiums would be fenced and solar lights would be installed so that players could play even in the night, the MLA said.

Dr Ishank Kumar said Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had announced the construction of ultra-modern stadiums across the state. He said under the first phase, construction of 3,083 such stadiums would start.
Dr Ishank said continuous efforts were being made by Lok Sabha Member Dr Raj Kumar to bring various big projects in the Assembly constituency. Development work was going on at a fast pace in Chabbewal Assembly constituency, he said.
“The aim is to promote sports culture in the state and keep youths away from drug addiction,” he said.
