The event was flagged off at 7:30 am from HPCL’s Kesar Service Station by the chief guest, Darbara Singh Randhawa, Additional Chief Administrator of the Jalandhar Development Authority (JDA). Over 150 cyclists, including environmental advocates and students, participated in the 5-kilometer rally, pedaling from the starting point to Moon Filling Station, spreading awareness about the importance of fuel conservation and its positive impact on both health and the environment.

During the event, Banay Singh, Chief Regional Manager of HPCL, addressed the participants and highlighted the theme of SAKSHAM, emphasising the various initiatives being undertaken by oil marketing companies under the guidance of the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), which runs from February 14 to 28. A pledge on oil and gas conservation was also administered, underscoring the collective commitment to sustainable energy practices.
