Saloni is city champion in spelling competition

Saloni Mahajan from MGN Public School here, was picked as Jalandhar champion in the city finals of ‘Classmate Spell Bee season 12’. The city finals for 30 cities were held online.

Saloni will now take part in the national final of the spelling extravaganza. In the initial phases of the city finals, an on-ground exercise was conducted among major schools in 30 cities. The top 15 scorers from 30 cities participated in the city finals’ last round.

The grand finale will witness competition between top 16 participants for the title of the national champion. The winner will get a cash prize of Rs 2,00,000, a trip to the White House and a chance to witness Scripps National Spelling Bee 2020 in Washington DC.
