The body of Jatinder Kumar, 36, of village Tanuli in the district, who died in Dubai, was brought back today.

Head of the Hoshiarpur unit of Sarbat Da Bhala Trust Aagya Pal Singh Sahni said information was received over the phone from Dubai about his death. Sahni said with the help of the administration, his identity was established. The paperwork and other formalities were completed and Jatinder’s body brought back from Dubai. The state head of the Trust, Dr SP Singh Oberoi, was also informed.

Jatinder’s father Harbans Singh worked as a labourer. Jatinder had gone to Dubai sometime back but could not find a good job there. A pall of gloom descended over the village as news of his passing away came in.
