Chairman Garhi visited Dhuleta on Saturday to assess the situation on the ground. He held detailed discussions with the Gram Panchayat, the management committee of Gurdwara Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, prominent local residents and administrative officials. After hearing all parties, he urged a resolution based on community harmony and mutual understanding.

Following his intervention, the Gram Panchayat of Dhuleta unanimously passed a resolution allowing the construction of the long-pending Sri Guru Ravidas Community Hall, which had earlier been the subject of dispute.

To prevent similar conflicts in the future, the Panchayat also resolved to officially update the land records (Khasra numbers) to reflect the designated use of the land. Furthermore, the Panchayat recommended the immediate transfer of Panchayat Secretary Surjit Singh, citing procedural lapses in official documentation that had contributed to the controversy.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman Garhi reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to protecting lands associated with places of worship dedicated to Guru Ravidas Ji across Punjab. “If any further irregularities come to light, the Commission will not hesitate to take strict action,” he said, adding that the Punjab Government is committed to upholding the dignity and respect of all communities.
