School Notes: Best Teacher Award
Phagwara: Ashima Chopra, senior physics teacher at Cambridge International School, has been honoured with the prestigious FAP National Best Teacher Award for her contributions to the field of education. The teacher has been serving at Cambridge International School for the past 12 years. Her teaching methodology is based on innovation and practical learning. The award was presented by Federation of Private Schools (FAP), an organisation associated with over 6,700 private schools in India. A total of 1,200 applications were received for the award, out of which 300 teachers were selected through an evaluation process. The award ceremony was held at Chandigarh University. School Chairperson Jasbir Bassi congratulated her on the achievement.
Christmas Celebrations
Jalandhar: Students of Ivy World School came together to organise a heartwarming special assembly to mark the festive season. Held in the school auditorium, the event was a vibrant celebration of joy, unity, and creativity. The assembly began with a soulful rendition of Christmas carols by the school choir, setting a festive and cheerful tone. The students delivered a thought-provoking presentation on the values of love, kindness, and sharing, emphasizing the true essence of Christmas. The celebration continued with a potluck party themed “No Fire, No Fuss, just cooking with trust” in which students showcased their culinary skills by preparing no-cook dishes inspired by Christmas cuisine. Students enjoyed fun activities in the gaming zone and explored their creativity in an art workshop, creating beautiful artwork and craft projects. A food workshop allowed students to prepare delicious sandwiches and beverages, blending learning with enjoyment.
The best out of waste
Jalandhar: Christmas - the festival which inspires the spirit of sharing and caring - was celebrated at 'The Gurukul School'. Many Christmas-related activities like 'Card making' and 'The best out of waste' were held in school premises. The students showcased their outstanding performances like dance, poem recitation etc. Santa Claus distributed candies to tiny tots. Director Sushma Handa and Principal Radha Gakhar congratulated and showered their blessings on students.
Christmas Day Celebrated
Jalandhar: The school hosted its Inter-National Swimming Meet Girls (U-14)St. Soldier Group of Institutions celebrated Christmas Day, which is attended by the group's Chairman Anil Chopra, Vice Chairperson Sangeeta Chopra, Managing Director Rajan Chopra, Reetu Chopra, and students from the Mann Nagar branch of St. Soldier Divine Public School, Jalandhar. Students enthusiastically dressed as Santa Claus and fairies, embodying festive spirit as Sangeeta Chopra distributed gifts and chocolates. Chairman Anil Chopra emphasised the importance of unity, happiness, peace, and brotherhood, encouraging everyone to celebrate this meaningful occasion with their families.
