School notes: St Soldier Students advocate peace
Jalandhar: Students of St Soldier Group of Institutions marked New Year 2025 celebrations by forming a human chain advocating the world peace. Group chairman Anil Chopra and vice chairperson Sangeeta Chopra congratulated students and stressed on the importance of education in shaping India into a developed nation. Reflecting on the gap between India and developed countries, they encouraged students to take strides in innovation and nation-building. They conveyed their wishes for happiness, well-being, and progress in the coming year, while commending students for their effort to inspire unity and harmony in a rapidly evolving world.
CT School students shine at sammelan
Jalandhar: Students of CT Public School delivered an enthralling performance at the 149th Shri Baba Harivallabh Sangeet Pratiyogita at the iconic Devi Talab Mandir. Under the guidance of the school’s Music Department, they presented a soulful 13-minute rendition of Saraswati Vandana and Harivallabh Vandana. Although a non-competitive platform, their performance earned acclaim from the Harivallabh Sangeet Mahasabha and Devi Talab Mandir Committees, making it a proud moment for the school. Vice Principal Sukhdeep Kaur highlighted students discipline and teamwork, while stating that their effort reflected CT Public School’s ethos of fostering creativity and classical art appreciation. Congratulating the performers and mentors, the school management acknowledged students contribution in promoting the essence of classical music.
Apeejay School hosts ‘Abhiviyakti 2.0’
Jalandhar: Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, celebrated its annual function “Abhiviyakti 2.0” with grandeur, under the leadership of chairperson Sushma Paul Berlia. Chief guest Dr Rishi Kumar, IRS, and alumna Dr Sahil Sareen were among the dignitaries present on the occasion. The event opened with a guard of honor by NCC cadets, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a video showcasing the visionary journey of Apeejay’s founders. Highlights included an English play, “Shakespeare Decoded”, and cultural performances such as Sufi dances and Bhangra. Student achievers in curricular and extracurricular domains were honoured by the chief guest and school management. Principal Sangeeta Nistandra’s annual report highlighted key accomplishments from the past year, reflecting the school’s commitment to holistic excellence. Parents’ enthusiastic applause underscored the event’s success, which concluded with a vote of thanks and recital of the National Anthem.
