Science City hosts edu leaders’ meet to boost science learning

The event aimed to strengthen linkages between Science City and schools, making science learning more engaging and accessible, and advancing the objectives of informal science education.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rajesh Grover, Director of Pushpa Gujral Science City, emphasised the importance of collective efforts in shaping the future of education. He highlighted the need to build a supportive ecosystem that nurtures scientific curiosity, innovation and creativity among students. Dr Grover urged school principals to integrate informal education into their teaching approaches, noting that traditional methods can sometimes be monotonous and lack tools to simplify complex scientific concepts. He added that Science City will continue to serve as a hub of educational excellence and act as a catalyst for developing scientific skills within the community by organising various science programmes throughout the year.
The guests were taken on a comprehensive tour of the Science City campus, exploring interactive exhibits and displays designed to make science learning exciting and experiential.
A major highlight of the visit was “Eco Echoes – A Virtual Expedition Show”, which takes visitors on an immersive journey through diverse ecosystems on Earth, offering a deeper understanding of nature’s balance.
During the interaction session, participants lauded Pushpa Gujral Science City for its continued commitment to nurturing scientific minds among youth. They shared valuable suggestions and appreciated initiatives such as teacher training programmes, celebration of socially and scientifically significant days and other educational events aimed at strengthening formal science education.
