Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rajesh Grover, Director, Science City, underscored that disasters can occur anywhere and in various forms, making preparedness the most critical factor in reducing impact.

Dr Grover also highlighted the regional context, noting that incessant rainfall, rising river levels, and the controlled release of excess dam water have kept Punjab on high alert.

Delivering the vote of thanks, Dr Munish Soin, Scientist-D at Science City, emphasised the role of nature-based solutions in disaster management.
