In a tragic incident near Adda Jhir Da Khuh on the Talwara-Hajipur main road, an elderly woman lost her life after the scooter she was riding pillion on fell into a deep pothole. The mishap occurred when the scooter, being driven by her son, lost balance while navigating a pothole on the road.
The deceased has been identified as Byaso Devi, wife of Dharam Pal, a resident of Rajwal village. She was travelling from Budhabad to Rajwal with her son when the accident took place. According to eyewitnesses, the scooter hit a deep pothole, causing her to fall and die on the spot.
Upon receiving information, ASI Om Prakash reached the scene and initiated an investigation.
The incident has sparked outrage among local residents, who blamed the administration for negligence in maintaining the road. They alleged that the poor condition of the Talwara-Hajipur road, riddled with potholes, has become a serious safety hazard.
