On the eve of Miri Piri Diwas, a pictorial art work depicting Siri Sahib monument of the historic Gurudwara at Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan, along with traditional stole adorned with Punjabi alphabets and personalised nameplate illustrating the importance of mother language was presented to Member of Parliament and Padma Shri awardee Balbir Singh Seechewal.

The presentation was made by Punjab’s eminent author and nature artist Harpreet Sandhu in the presence of Rajya Sabha Member Sanjeev Arora in Sultanpur Lodhi. Seechewal acknowledged the work as a positive step towards preserving cultural heritage. He said that the initiative is a way of promoting the religious symbols that have been inherited from the past, particularly the portrait of Siri Sahib monument. He said that it makes people of diverse societies learn more about the historical significance of the monument.

MP Seechewal lauded Harpreet Sandhu’s efforts towards promoting cultural treasures through his art work and acknowledged the initiative to promote the historical symbols in the younger generation.
