Selection trials for the Punjab sub-junior and junior women’s hockey teams will be held on December 15 at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium, Jalandhar, starting at 9 am.

The selected teams will represent Punjab in the North Zone Asmita Sub-Junior Women’s Hockey League, scheduled from December 20 to 24, and the North Zone Asmita Junior Women’s Hockey League, to be held from December 27 to 31.

Both tournaments will take place in Narwana, Haryana, and are being organised by Hockey India in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India.

Hockey Punjab president Nitin Kohli and general secretary Amrik Singh Powar said players born on or after January 1, 2009, are eligible for the sub-junior category, while those born on or after January 1, 2006, can participate in the junior category.

They further said all players appearing for the trials must carry their original Aadhaar card for verification. No player will be allowed to participate in the selection trials without valid Aadhaar identification.
