An awareness seminar on the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) was organised by the PF District Office at Vardhman Spinning Mills. The event was led by Beg Raj and Bhupinder Kumar, Enforcement Officers from the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), with special attendance from Abhishek Mehta, Industries Promotion Officer.
Beg Raj outlined the scheme's objectives, highlighting its role in promoting employment, extending social security to youth, and incentivising employers. Set to launch in August 2025, PM-VBRY has two key components. Part A provides a social security incentive to establishments hiring new employees by covering the employer's EPF contribution for a specified period for workers earning up to Rs 15,000 per month. This initiative aims to create formal sector jobs and extend social security benefits.
Part B focuses on enhancing employment opportunities and rewarding employers who retain new employees regularly. Financial assistance will encourage establishments to hire more youth, boosting private sector employment.
Bhupinder Kumar shared details on eligibility, the application process, and online registration procedures, emphasising EPFO's widespread awareness campaign in collaboration with industry bodies to ensure the scheme's success.
Abhishek Mehta highlighted the scheme's potential benefits for the industrial sector by providing skilled manpower and creating jobs for youth, urging industries to participate actively and contribute to national employment goals.
