To raise awareness among school girls about cyber crime, a special seminar was organised today at Government Senior Secondary School for Girls (Ghanta Ghar) under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Madhavi Sharma, in-charge, women and child protection against crime and cyber crime. The session was conducted by Inspector Mandeep Kaur, in-charge, cyber crime police station, Kapurthala.

Addressing the students, Inspector Mandeep Kaur emphasised the growing significance of cyber security in an era where the internet has become an integral part of daily life. She highlighted various cyber threats, including hacking, phishing, online fraud and data theft. She also cautioned against fake social media identities used for blackmailing and advised students to remain vigilant.
