A meeting of the Shiv Sena, Punjab, was held under the chairmanship of senior state vice-presidents Inderjit Karwal and Rajesh Palta here on Thursday.
The meeting focused on the issue of drug trafficking in the state. To draw the government’s attention to the issue, Shiv Sena national president Sanjeev Dhanoli and chairman Rajeev Tandon will organise a massive rally against drug mafia in Jalandhar on July 5.
They highlighted alarming cases where some addicts committed serious crimes and shared live videos on social media to gain attention. Karwal said drug issue in the state poses a threat to national security.
