The Punjabi Jagriti Manch and the Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust are jointly organising a ‘Punjabi Jagriti March’ tomorrow to promote the use of the Punjabi language.

Eight prominent singers — Manmohan Waris, Kamal Heer, Satinder Sartaaj, Lakhwinder Wadali, Sarbjit Cheema, Nirmal Sidhu, Dalwinder Dyalpuri and Anadi Mishra — have been invited by the organisers for participating in the march to promote the language. The march will start from Lyallpur Khalsa College and head towards Desh Bhagat Yaadgar Hall.

The stage for the event has been readied at Lyallpur Khalsa College where the singers will perform on songs pertaining to the Punjabi culture and heritage and urge the youth to promote their mother tongue.
