Post Ludhiana West bypoll, AAP Punjab incharge Manish Sisodia was in Jalandhar on Friday for an interaction with party leaders.

All leaders, including minister Mohinder Bhagat, Mayor Vaneet Dhir, MLAs Rajwinder Thiara, Balkar Singh and halqa incharges Pawan Tinu, Prem Kumar, Dinesh Dhall, Nitin Kohli and Rajwinder Thiara met him at Circuit House. Earlier in the day, he held some discussions with state general secretary of the party Deepak Bali.

Dhir took Sisodia for a round in the city. He checked the bio-mining site at Wariana. He saw other garbage dumps and directed the MC authorities to set up enclosures for waste piling. He also directed MC officials to complete the surface water project at the earliest and relay roads wherever these have been dug for the convenience of the public.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
