Social activist Raman Nehra receives Best Worker Award

Social activist Raman Nehra was honoured with the Best Worker Award by the Human Rights Council (India) during its national conclave held in Delhi.

Nehra received the award in recognition of his outstanding services as the Punjab president of the Council’s Anti-Corruption Cell. He said apart from the main award, he was also separately felicitated for his performance and contribution to the organisation.

The award was presented by national chairman of the Minorities Commission Iqbal Singh Lalpura, who attended the event as the chief guest under the chairmanship of the Council’s national president Aarti Rajput.

Special guest Pramod Kaushik also honoured Nehra for his exemplary work. Nehra said he had always strived to deliver his best to the council and that such recognitions further motivated him to intensify efforts toward expanding the organisation and strengthening public awareness campaigns aimed at eliminating corruption.

He added that under the guidance of Aarti, he would continue to discharge his responsibilities with dedication, while encouraging more people to join the Human Rights Council, especially its Anti-Corruption Cell.

The Delhi event was attended by several dignitaries, including SK Gill, national president of the RTI Cell; Tejinder Bawa, national president of the business cell; Ashu Markanda, district president (Kapurthala); Shoki Tura, Punjab president of the RTI cell; among others.
