The event was inaugurated with the ceremonial strike of the gavel by Justice Rajive Bhalla (retd), former judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The moot problem for this edition revolved around critical social-legal issues, including caste-based discrimination, admissibility of digital evidence and mob justice, all analysed under the new criminal code framework.

The preliminary rounds saw 66 teams competing in 33 courtrooms. After an intense legal battle, Team TC-23 from Dr BR Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat, emerged as the champion, winning the title along with a Rs 51,000 cash prize.
