Several houses in Mand Baupur village, located in the Sultanpur Lodhi constituency, were destroyed after the Beas River overflowed due to recent floods, leaving local farmers devastated.

In response to an appeal by Charanjit Masih, Chairman of Christian Youth Fellowship Punjab, Malvika Sood (Moga constituency in-charge) reached out for help. Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood, along with Malvika Sood, visited the affected villages of Mand Baupur and Sangra to assess the damage.

Expressing his solidarity with the victims, Sonu Sood assured that the Sood Foundation would provide full support to the displaced farmers. "Nature's fury has caused immense loss, and it is our duty to stand with our farmer brothers. The Sood Foundation will rebuild homes and provide every possible assistance once the water recedes," he said.

The actor encouraged the affected families not to lose hope, pledging that they would not be abandoned during this crisis. Local youth leader Charanjit Singh expressed his gratitude to the Sood Foundation, emphasising the severe damage to homes in Mand Baupur and surrounding villages.
