Students hold voter awareness campaign

A voter awareness campaign was held at Boothgarh village, under the leadership of Gurjeet Singh, Principal, Rayat-Bahra Institute of Engineering and Nano-Technology.

Sharing details, Gurjeet said the aim of the campaign was to raise awareness among villagers about the significance of voting in the upcoming panchayat elections and to ensure that every eligible voter was informed of their rights.

Simarpreet Singh, head, IT Department, outlined the purpose of the campaign. The villagers appreciated the efforts of the students.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
