A brief and tense situation arose today evening at Gurdwara Tibbi Sahib, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ansro near Nawanshahr when a group of around 10 to 12 Nihangs from Ludhiana reached the shrine seeking rooms for an overnight stay.

According to sewadars of the gurdwara, the visiting Nihangs were allegedly in an intoxicated condition. In view of this, the sewadars objected to providing accommodation, leading to heated arguments between the two sides.

Police personnel reached and intervened to calm the situation. The Nihangs were asked to leave the premises, following which they departed without any physical confrontation or damage. No case has been registered.
