Crime in Goraya is on the rise, with thieves and robbers becoming increasingly brazen in their actions, even during daylight hours. On Tuesday, an incident took place on Rudka Road when three young men broke into an electronics shop.

Eyewitnesses reported that the group forced open the shop’s aluminum shutter and stole between Rs 8,000 and Rs 10,000 in cash from the counter.

Local residents rushed to the scene and apprehended two of the culprits. The third accomplice managed to escape with the stolen money. The two captured thieves were handed over to the Goraya police. Traders are urging police to increase patrolling and take stronger action to address the rising crime
