Thieves targeted seven shops, including six medical stores, in Garhshankar and one in Adda Satnor. The incidents were captured in CCTV cameras installed in many shops which has exposed the police system. However, after receiving information about the theft incident, the Garhshankar police has started investigation.

According to the incident captured in the CCTV camera, one thief entered the shop and stole while the other stood outside. After these incidents of theft, panic has spread among the shopkeepers. The thieves committed theft in Raja Medical Store, Singh Medical Store, Puneet Medical Store, Longiya Medical Store, Vijay Medical Store, Raj Medical Store and Rahul Shoes Store in the city.

President of the Chemist Association Rajvarinder Singh said thieves stole thousands of rupees from the shops. Apart from this, they stole about Rs 4,200 from Rahul Shoe Store. He said the thieves carried out the crime at 3 am in the morning.

ASI Rashpal Singh told that the spot has been inspected and it has come to light that the thieves have stolen the cash kept in the boxes of the shops.
