Hoshiarpur, February 19
A three-day National Law Fest concluded at Swami Sarvanand Giri Panjab University Regional Centre. Famous Punjabi singer Khan Bhaini won hearts of the attendees with his singing at the ‘Star night’ organised on the eve of the final day. During the musical programme, the students kept dancing in the pandal. In the valedictory session of the fest, Punjab Haryana High Court Judge Justice Rajesh Bhardwaj was the chief guest while his wife, national-award winning Sanskrit scholar Dr Poonam Bhardwaj was the special guest.
DSP Amarnath Sharma participated in the programme as a special guest. In his address, Justice Bhardwaj implored the students to participate enthusiastically in such events and said law students should focus on their all-round development. He said by participating in events like moot court and client counselling, students can garner practical benefits in their careers.
He honored the winners of various competitions by giving trophies and certificates on the occasion. PUSSGRC Executive Director Dr Pooja Sood and Coordinator Dr Brijesh Sharma honoured the chief guest and other guests by presenting mementos.
According to the results of legal competitions, Dr BR Ambedkar National Law University Sonepat secured first position and Punjab University Chandigarh stood second in the moot court competition.
During this, Amrit Kaur was awarded the Best Speaker and Pragati Kaushal the Best Researcher. In the client counseling competition, the team of UILS Shimla stood first and the team of GNDU Regional Campus of Jalandhar stood second.
Suraj Reddy of LPU was awarded the Best Counselor and Aditya Bakshi of PUSSGRC was awarded as the Best Client.
