Three killed in road accidents
Three persons have been killed in various road accidents in the area during the last 24 hours.
According to information, Jasvir Ram, a resident of village Mehna, told the police of Chabbewal that his father Kashmir Chand was coming from Hoshiarpur to his village on a bike. When he reached near village Jattpur, a passing truck hit him.
His father died. The police have registered a case against the accused driver Bhagat Singh, a resident of Chak Kataru and arrested him.
In another case, Rajinder Singh, a resident of village Shankar of district Ludhiana, has lodged a complaint with the Garhshankar police.
He told the police that his nephew Dharminder Singh, a resident of Lehra, district, Ludhiana, was coming towards Garhshankar, driving a truck.
He was going towards his truck after relieving himself near Garhshankar, when a car hit him. He was seriously injured in the accident. He was admitted to the hospital where he died.
The accused driver fled with the car. The police have registered a case against unidentified driver.
In another case, resident of village Manguwal Jeevan Kumar was going to Banga from Garhshankar with cement in his truck.
When he reached near a resort, the truck suddenly went out of control and hit a tree on the roadside due to which Jeevan Kumar died. The Garhshankar police was investigating the case.
