The police have booked three persons for trespassing.

Investigating Officer (IO) Major Singh said the accused had been identified as Gurmail Singh, a resident of Randhir Pur village in Kapurthala, his son Davindar Singh and their domestic help Sunil.

Paramjit Singh of Bhodi Pur village complained to Nakodar DSP that the accused had ploughed a water channel and pathway leading to his fields despite a stay order issued and threatened him with dire consequences. The IO said the DSP submitted his report to the Jalandhar (Rural) SSP who sought legal opinion from the district attorney. He said a case under Sections 329 (2), 61 (2) and 351 (2) of the BNS had been registered against the accused.
