Three miscreants scuffle with ASI, one arrested

Three youths riding a bike scuffled with an ASI and tore his uniform at Chak Sadhu Naka on Hoshiarpur-Una Road yesterday, when he stopped them for checking. The police claimed that when the accused broke the naka and fled, ASI Rakesh chased them. On being stopped, the accused abused him, tore his uniform and also tried to snatch the government pistol before fleeing.

Later the Hoshiarpur Sadar police managed to arrest one of the three youths while the search for his two companions was on. The arrested youth was identified as Sukhbir Singh of Mehtiana. His companions have been identified as Amardeep Baba and Jindi, both of Tanuli village. The police have registered a case against the three youths.
