Two unidentified robbers looted Rs3.15 lakh from a timber arhtiya at 5:30 am on Saturday. After getting information, the police reached the spot and started an investigation. According to sources, the police have detained some suspects for questioning.

The incident has been captured in CCTV cameras installed outside the victim’s house. According to information, Karan Gandhi, a resident of Bahadurpur area, told the police that as he walked out of his house to get his car from the garage, two robbers, who had probably hid near the house, thrashed him and snatched a bag containing money and escaped.

Inspector Kartar Singh from the city police station said a case under Section 379-B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) had been registered in this regard. He said the culprits would be arrested soon.
