“On Wednesday, members of a family from Garhshankar visited me and asked for the plants that can boost immunity. On a daily basis, five to six persons have been visiting me,” he added.

Roshan Lal started growing plants in 2009. He said it was difficult for anyone to get such plants, which were in abundance in herbal garden here, anywhere else.

He said after seeing his grandfather, who was a ‘vaidya’, he had developed interest in the same. He added that giving such helpful plants to people gives him immense happiness.

He is now fondly known as ‘herbal uncle’ in his locality.

People are also practising yoga and pranayama these days. A teacher said although she was going to the school, she made sure that she practise yoga and pranayama in the morning for a better immune system.
