He said the district administration and the Forest Department were committed to developing it as a world-class tourist destination. The administration would make every possible effort to make Hoshiarpur a leading district in the field of tourism. He said the main objective of the Hoshiarpur Nature Fest was also to give the world-class recognition to the beauty of this area and give it an important place on the tourism map.

Dr Tiwari said Hoshiarpur had the largest forest area in Punjab which makes it an ideal place for nature tourism. He appealed to the local  to participate in tourism activities and cooperate in developing their constituency as a tourism hub.
