Tug-of-war championship begins at Lamrin university

The All India University Tug-of-War Championship 2025 was inaugurated at Lamrin Tech Skills University, Punjab, in a grand and spirited manner today. The event was formally inaugurated with a balloon releasing ceremony, symbolising the spirit of sportsmanship and unity.

The programme commenced with Saraswati Vandana followed by a vibrant march Past. Chief guest HS Dhillon, former DGP Punjab, addressed the gathering and inspired the students with his motivational words, while vice-chancellor Dr Parvinder Singh extended his warm wishes and blessings to the participants.

A special highlight of the day was the Lamrin Tech Skills University anthem, which was officially sung for the first time during the opening ceremony, adding a touch of pride and unity to the event. Thousands of players from different universities from across the country are participating in the mega event.
