The Lohian Khas police have arrested two smugglers on the charge of selling heroin. Shahkot Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Onkar Singh Brar said 100 grams of heroin and Rs 15,400 drug money were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified as Manjit Singh, alias Meeta, a resident of Chacha Colony, Lohian Khas, and Azad Singh, alias Sunni, a resident of Dogranwala village under the Subhanpur police station in Kapurthala.
The DSP said a case under Sections 21-B/61/85 of the NDPS Act was registered against the accused. He said a motorcycle and two mobile phones were seized from the accused. Assistant Sub-Inspector Balveer Chand was conducting probe into the matter, the DSP said.
