Two bikers killed, one hurt in accident

In a road accident, two motorcyclists were killed on the spot while their third pillion rider friend sustained injuries when their bike, bearing registration number Punjab-09AD-2153, collided with a truck near Phagwara last night.

The deceased were identified as Rahul (19) and Harpreet (20), both residents of village Rampur Sunrra near Phagwara. Both were brought to the local Civil Hospital but were declared brought dead.

The injured Gaurav of village Rawalpindi was admitted to a local hospital. The police have registered a case under Sections 279, 304A, 283 IPC, against the truck driver and impounded the truck.

The police have handed over the bodies of both deceased youths to their families after the post-morterm examination conducted in the Civil Hospital.
