Two booked for duping Kapurthala man of Rs 3.14 L

A case under Sections 420 (cheating) and 406 (criminal breach of trust) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against Kulwinder Kaur, a resident of Deolawwal village under Kotwali police station, Kapurthala, and Ravi Kumar, a resident of Danewal village under Shahkot police station.
As per the complaint lodged by Sukhwinder Singh, a resident of Mainwan village under Sadar police station, the accused took the money from him with the promise of arranging foreign travel for his daughter, Harman Kaur. However, they neither fulfilled the promise nor returned the amount. Acting on the complaint, the case was registered with the approval of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kapurthala.
