Two-day conference for CA students concludes

The two-day CA students’ conference - Yugantar 2025 organised by the Jalandhar branch Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, concluded with deep learning and inspiration.

The day opened with Technical Session III (Tax & Audit) chaired by CA Atul Vijh and evaluated by CA Sachin Saluja. Student presenters demonstrated commendable clarity, updated knowledge and analytical depth.

Aastha Thakur was announced the winner of session III for her structured presentation and confident delivery. Post-lunch, Technical Session IV (Finance and Reporting) was chaired by CA Rashmi Kathpal and evaluated by CA Paramjot Singh. Ankit Jain emerged as the winner of Session IV for his sharp conceptual understanding. Sukhmanjot Singh was adjudged the overall winner of the event.

The central council members - CAs Pramod Jain, Sanjib Sanghi, Arpit Kabra and Hitesh Goyal were accorded welcome. CA Sanghi encouraged students to embrace challenges with courage and cultivate leadership qualities early in life.

Keynote address was delivered by IPL Chairman Arun Singh Dhumal. He energised the hall with his message, “Prepare not just for academic exams, but for the exams of life. You may fail an academic exam, but you must never fail to rise again. The CA course may be demanding, but it chisels each student to succeed in the biggest exam — life itself.”

His real-life anecdotes, leadership insights and reflections from the world of Indian cricket deeply motivated students to remain grounded, resilient and value-driven. His address received a standing ovation.
