Two gangsters, identified as Mukesh Kumar, alias Khanna, of Kapurthala’s Virk village, and Parminder Singh, alias Dulla, of Narur village, who were nabbed at a checkpoint near Nasirabad village in Phagwara under the Arms Act on Wednesday were produced in the Court of Judicial Magistrate on Thursday who sent them to 14 days of judicial custody

The CIA staff, led by Inspector Harneek Singh, on Tuesday arrested these gangsters and seized three country-made pistols, 20 live cartridges and a motorcycle from them.

Superintendent of Police (Detective) Manpreet Dhillon and Phagwara SP Manwinder Singh told mediapersons and claimed that several other disclosures were expected in this regard soon. Dhillon said:“One of their accomplice, identified as Michel,a resident of Phagwara, is still at large and can be nabbed soon.”

Dhillon said during the preliminary investigation, the gangsters said Michel gave them the weapons to kill Harpreet, a resident of Bohani village, with whom he had an old enmity.
