The district police arrested two individuals and seized 240 intoxicating tablets in two separate operations. In the first case, Ibrahim, a resident of Rohati Khas village, Patiala, was apprehended near Goindwal bridge after 60 tablets were found in his Maruti Zen car.

In a separate incident, ASI Sukhchain Singh and his team arrested Kashmir Singh alias Sira from Subhanpur, recovering 180 tablets. Both accused were booked under Sections 22, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act. Police have taken them into custody, and further investigation is ongoing.
