Two injured in road accident

A woman and a man sustained injuries in a collision between two cars on Baba Balak Nath Mandir overbridge in Goraya on Tuesday. Both vehicles were extensively damaged in the accident.

According to ASI Jaswinder Singh of the Sadak Suraksha Force (SSF), the police received a call from a passerby about an accident on the overbridge near Baba Balak Nath Mandir. Upon reaching the spot, the SSF team found that a Brezza car, going from Hoshiarpur to Ludhiana and driven by Raman Kumar, a resident of Ludhiana, rammed into a Honda Amaze coming from Amritsar and heading towards Panipat.

The Honda Amaze car was being driven by Ajit Singh, a resident of Panipat, who was accompanied by his wife Sonia. The police confirmed that there was no loss of life in the accident. However, both Sonia and Raman Kumar suffered injuries. Sonia was rushed to a local hospital in Goraya, while Raman Kumar received first aid on the spot. The impact left both the vehicles badly damaged. ASI Surinder Pal from the Goraya police station also arrived at the spot and initiated probe into the matter.
