Residents of Adampur are in panic after two incidents of loot took place within a span of two days.
A young man engaged in making daily collections for a firm faced a loot of Rs 20,000 and was attacked with a dagger. Today, another young man working for Flipkart was attacked and looted of Rs 1.5 lakh. The incident took place at the Shivpuri road in Adampur at 11:30 am.
Today's victim Manpreet Singh (25), resident of Duhre village, stated that he was making collections for Flipkart when two masked men on a motorcycle stopped him and attacked him with a dagger. "They looted Rs 1.5 lakh from me and fired a gunshot in the air before fleeing", he reported. The police have started investigating the matter and are scanning CCTV footage to identify the culprits.
In yesterday's incident too, two motorcycle-borne men had attacked the victim in the same fashion showing a dagger. The victim Ajay Sharma, resident of Adampur, stated that he was at work when they looted Rs 20,000 from him and fled from the scene. The residents of Adampur have appealed to the police and administration to take immediate action to prevent such incidents.
